After growing up in Wisconsin, I decided to head to the University of Missouri to pursue a career in journalism. I quickly followed that up with an internship at Outside Magazine in Santa Fe, NM. Within a few weeks of exploring the area with other interns, I realized that the outdoorsy, adventure life was for me. For the previous 10 years, I have lived in Boulder, Colorado. My writing focuses on outdoor adventure, hiking, snowboarding, health and wellness, running, solo travel, and more. When I’m not writing or in the mountains, I run an early childhood Forest School program where I get to teach kids the importance of nature, adventure, and why getting outside is so much fun.
